Shore Lark – Lasem Mountains – IranThe Shore Lark (Eremophila alpestris), also called the Horned Lark, breeds across northern Iran heights from the North West Alborz to north east heights. There is also an isolated breeding population on south east Iran. It is mainly resident its range, but often migrates to open lands in the winter.
Northern (Alborz) populations of this passerine bird are migratory, moving further south in winter. This is a bird of open ground. In Iran it breeds above the tree line in mountains of northern heights.
