Damavand Province - Iran -- one of the wellknown bird passagesEver been to Iran or ever wondered how it could be possible to take a trip to Iran for bird watching, artistic photography of bird species or research trips?

You've found the right place! Note that here on birdsofiran.com this is just a service we provide as fund raising to help finance the conservation efforts for protecting the endangered species of birds of Iran as a private entity. Please contact an on/offline travel agent, and/or the nearest Iranian travel agency, if you can't find the desired information starting from our tour and travel guide. We are only interested in adventure trips, bird photography and research trips related to wildlife & birds of Iran. But I will reply to "interesting" requests not to mention we've have made some wonderful friends this way!

Iran is a large country in the Middle East, between the Gulf of Oman, the Persian Gulf, and the Caspian Sea. It is bordered by Iraq to the west, Turkey, Azerbaijan's Naxcivan enclave, Armenia, and Azerbaijan to the northwest, Turkmenistan to the northeast, Afghanistan and Pakistan to the southeast. It has a rich history.

What is the name of a yellow with black wings songbird found by water in Iran? Do you have pictures and a migratory route you could send me? Thank you, Edie Reno

written by Ali Shariati, July 08, 2010
Dear Friend
my name is Ali Shariati and currently I am studying in Belgium. I am going to travel to Iran this summer.
I am a beginner in bird watching and my experince is limited to a few trips in Belgium with friends.
Now that I am coming back home for a holiday, I really like to combine it with a trip to know the birds of Iran.
I am excited about this possibilty and I would be thankful if you give me further information about your organized tours and trips.
Best
Ali
